Murray and Manifestos (Part II)

An interesting excerpt from the article Carol Berkenkotter wrote about Don. This is Don talking:

It worries me a little bit that the title is too imperative. When I first wrote, most of my articles were like this; they pound on the table, do this, do that. I want this to be a little more reflective. (166)

Interesting how Don, himself, is aware of this manifesto-type tendency I have identified in his early writing.
