Murray and Comp/Rhet Ph.D. at UNH

From an email from Tom Newkirk, 12/24/11:

Don Murray wasn't much involved in the Ph.D. program. It obviously rested on the reputation in writing that he helped establish. But with the arrival of Bob Connors, and my presence there were people with scholarly backgrounds in comp--I think he deferred to us--and he was not around long after we started admitting students to the program. I believe he was on Branscomb's committee, but by the time Sherry Grading and Amber Ahlstrom finished he was retired.
