ENGL 703-704 Writing Non-Fiction The techniques of advanced expository writing will be discussed and practiced in weekly papers the first semester. An article of considerable length and serious content will be written and re-written during the second semester. Workshop discussions and individual conferences. Mr. Murray. Prereq: ENGL 501 or 521-522, or 525-26, or an equivalent. 3 cr. May be repeated for credit with the approval of the department chairman. Written permission of instructor required for registration. 1969-70

ENGL 621-622 Non-Fiction Writing A workshop cousre in the writing of non-fiction. Students interested in journalism will be able to practice writing under strict limitations of time and space in this cousre, which will prepare them for a career in journalism. Other students will be able to practice forms of non-fiction writing in which they are interested. Individual conferences. Mr. Murray. 4 credits. No prerequisite except permission of instructor. May be repeated for credit with approval of the department chairman.
ENGL 703-704: Advanced Non-Fiction Writing A workshop course for advanced students of writing. The course provides a second year of training for those interested in journalism, but it also provides an opportunity for students to practice other forms of non-fiction writing. Mr. Murray. 4 credits. No prerequisite except permission of instructor. May be repeated for credit with approval of the department chairman.
